Morning herb tonic + adrenal health


Ditching coffee was the best thing I did for my morning sluggishness.

Wait until you call me crazy if you just *need* that cup in the morning to function.

It does sound counter intuitive, as caffeine gives you that superwoman jolt. HOWEVER, caffeine while being wonderful for many things, is a can put a toll on your adrenals.

The adrenal cortex, the outer part of the gland—produces hormones that are vital to life, such as cortisol (which helps regulate metabolism and helps your body respond to stress) and aldosterone (which helps control blood pressure).

Since I have had adrenal fatigue often, ditching caffeine was a no brainer for me.

So for my morning ritual, I like to incorporate herbs for their powerful health benefits. I love this adrenal loving simple tonic for morning and afternoon pick me up !

WHAT :

Therapeutic uses :

ROSEMARY : circulation, antibacterial properties, memory/cognition

PARSLEY : high blood pressure, UTI, kidney stones, diuretic

PEPPERMINT : digestion, IBS, colds

OREGANO : anti fungal, antiseptic and antioxidant properties

HOW :

Simply pour 1 cup boiling water over herbs of choice. Let steep for 10 minutes. You can drink hot or pour over ice with a squeeze of lemon.
