Let's talk about sweat, baby.

Sweat is amazing. It detoxes our body from toxins, impurities and even germs (think fevers!)

It is GOOD to sweat.

When it comes to deodorant, I'm not someone who wants to skip it.

I am pretty active and enjoy a good sweat sesh. But with sweat comes odors, right?

The "fragrances" found in our armpits are actually pheromones, precisely androsterone and androstenol.

The apocrine glands emit these musky aromas similar to phytohormones, found in essential oils aroma such as sandalwood.

Well, I personally don't think I naturally smell of sandalwood.

What causes "B.O." is the bacteria on our skin combining with and breaking down our sweat.

I was intrigued when I found out about Honestly pHresh because their deos are baking soda free (!!!)

When it comes to natural dedorants, you may have noticed that 99.9% of them have baking soda as their star ingredient. And while B.S. works pretty good to neutralize odors (think your fridge, the cat box, etc) I found it to be quite irritating overtime on my skin, as I started getting redness and bumps on my under arms.

Comes Honestly pHresh’s, with their unique formula featuring powerful minerals, pre-probiotics to help to eliminate odor-causing bacteria, while natural moisture-absorbers work quickly to keep me dry.

I usually start in the morning with Soothing Shea prebiotic deodorant (really soft scent blend of bergamot, geranium and a hint of patchouli). I like that they use Shea butter to sooth the delicate skin in our under arm area.

I use the Cardamom Rose spray throughout the day as needed. It smells spicy good and oh so feminine. It's such a nice twist on classic "rose" fragrances. Since I don't wear synthetic perfumes at all anymore (BYE PHTHALATES), this blend is perfect to add just a bit of lovely scent.

I will be posting about their awesome travel sizes next month in my"In my (vegan) bag"series.

So excited to have found this vegan, cruelty free and women owned brand!
